Bromic Group raises over $35,000 for The Kids Cancer Project in the Bromic Better Health Challenge

Bromic Group has once again demonstrated its commitment to community support by successfully raising $35,437 for The Kids Cancer Project through its Bromic Better Health Challenge. The 2024 charity event was held on Friday, 27 September 2024, and brought together employees for a day of teamwork, fun, and charitable spirit.

Teaming Up for a Cause

In preparation for the challenge, employees formed teams to tackle varying distances of 30km, 60km, and 90km. This structured approach not only fostered healthy competition but also encouraged camaraderie as employees rallied together for a worthy cause. The collective goal of raising funds for childhood cancer research served as a motivating factor for all participants.

The challenge culminated in a charity day at Bromic’s Head Office in Ingleburn, where teams completed the final 2km walk together. Despite the gloomy weather—heavy rain falling throughout the day—the team spirit shone brightly, showcasing the dedication and resilience of Bromic’s employees.

A Day of Celebration

The charity day featured an inflatable obstacle course, adding a playful twist to the fundraising efforts. Participants navigated the course with laughter and enthusiasm, embodying the essence of team spirit and healthy competition. The atmosphere was electric as the Most Valuable Players (MVPs) for each team were announced earning themselves a seat at the annual Christmas for a cure lunch hosted by The Kids Cancer Project.  Also announced at the conclusion of the day were the winners of the silent auction items alongside the raffle prize winners.

The heartwarming moment of the day came when all employees joined together for the final 2km walk. Just as if to honour their collective effort, the rain ceased, providing a brief window of clear skies as they crossed the finish line together, symbolising unity and the power of community.

Achievements and Future Goals

Thanks to the hard work and determination of all participants, Bromic Group surpassed its ambitious fundraising target of $30,000 raising a total of $35,437.00. This remarkable effort will contribute significantly to The Kids Cancer Project, which is dedicated to supporting research and finding better treatments for childhood cancer.

Looking ahead, Bromic Group is eager to take on the challenge again in 2025, with aspirations to increase their current fundraising achievement. The team is already brainstorming ideas to enhance the event and increase their impact in the coming year.

The Bromic Way

The Bromic Better Health Challenge not only highlighted the importance of teamwork and health but also reinforced Bromic Group’s commitment to making a difference in the lives of children battling cancer. The organisation’s efforts exemplify how collective action and community spirit can lead to meaningful change, and the team looks forward to continuing this vital work in the years to come.
