Product Development Engineer – Plumbing & Gas

We are excited to invite you to join our Sydney team as a Product Development Engineer for our Plumbing & Gas business. In this role, you’ll contribute to the development of innovative products and help bring high-quality solutions to market, all while growing your career within a global leader in engineering and innovation.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Lead Product Development Projects – Manage engineering and project delivery for the water division, ensuring alignment with company objectives.

  • Design & Testing – Develop and qualify designs through detailed drawings, test plans, and laboratory validation to ensure product safety, compliance, and performance.

  • Documentation & Compliance – Maintain accurate Bills of Material and project documentation to support internal standards and government grant requirements.

  • Product Improvement – Continuously review existing products to identify opportunities for cost reduction, quality enhancement, and innovation.

  • Deliver on Key Performance Goals – Achieve design quality, commercial viability, and on-time, on-budget delivery targets while contributing new ideas and improvements.

Who we are looking for:

  • Qualified & Experienced – Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering with 3–5 years of experience, including at least 2 years in hands-on product development.

  • Technical & Detail-Oriented – Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, compliance standards, and product testing for global markets.

  • Collaborative Communicator – Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Mandarin fluency a plus for supplier coordination.

  • Organized & Proactive – Skilled at managing multiple projects, prioritizing effectively, and driving results with a “do what it takes to deliver” attitude.

  • Innovative Problem Solver – Analytical, methodical, and commercially minded with a passion for creating practical, high-quality solutions.
